Canberra offers four preliminary games as part of the Rugby World Cup. The action will be at Canberra Stadium, home ground of the ACT Brumbies Super 12 team:

19 October - Wales v Tonga
21 October - Italy v Canada
25 October - Italy v Wales

Healthpact 9th Australian Masters Games

The national capital hosts this biennial celebration of sport for mature-aged athletes who come from far and wide to participate in more than 50 sports, ranging from swimming and track and field to dog handling and dragon boat racing. The program of events includes an Opening and Closing Ceremony and a mid-week Melbourne Cup Day celebration, along with nightly entertainment at the Games Centre.
